Lets hear it for Belgium Buns by Nigella Dawson

Oh boys you are naughty. You are always going on about my buns. Well it prompted me to sing the praise for the Belgium Bun. Belgium is not just famous for Hercule Poirot or as the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy says "the rudest swear word in the Universe"  I know you boys prefer the creamy ones as I'm sporting here. Now a good place to get them is from Greggs. What a lovely Saturday treat although this member of staff won't serve them like this to you everyday!!

Lots of you ask what is the point of the cherries on top. I suggest you look at these pictures and tell me.  On a serious note, my friends and I think breast care is serious and you can get information or donate at Breast Cancer Care. Go on give.

Porage or not Porridge that's the question?

They say that the most important meal of the day is your breakfast. Now the Hate Cuisine Team like a fry up but a more healthy option would be Porridge. Hang on a moment. Our Scottish contributor, Gregory Ramsay says its Porage. Well we say it does not check out on spell check but the picture below may help his argument, but then again is that a dress he is wearing?

Watch this space for future arguments about do you have your Porridge with milk or water or sugar or salt. Second thoughts .........Hey guys where is my eggs and bacon?

Hate Cuisine Tribute to Tony Soprano

James Gandolfini died on 19 June 2013 aged 51. Famous for playing Tony Soprano the mob boss in the hit Mafia TV series The Sopranos. Hate Cuisine wishes to pay tribute to the man and probably the best TV series ever made. Bad and cooking fits what we try to do on this blog. Often the "family" were seen in a meeting around the dinner table sharing a pizza whilst planning the next job. I have the box set of 80 hours of classic TV to watch. Perhaps I need to start it today whilst eating a ........... Pizza.

Hate Cuisine Men Alone Meal

Has it come to this? Will Dom put this on his Christmas list? Surely we haven't come to the stage where we plug in our phone to our plate. Watch this space perhaps we will give it a trial run at the next Hate Cuisine meal out.

The Anti-Loneliness Ramen Bowl from mashable gives new meaning to face time. Designed to keep solo diners entertained, the noodle bowl has a built-in iPhone dock placed on one end so you can comfortably view your device while slurping away. Your phone may be vulnerable to splashes of soup, though, as the design does leave it a little exposed

Pepper and Egg Saute served with Prawns with Garlic and Chilli by Mick Stein

What do you do when your feeling hungry but have planned two light snack meals? Why you combine them. Plenty of garlic and spice washed down with a glass of wine is still a healthy option meal with plenty of taste. Us pretend cooks can still mix up a good dish.

Mexican Street Food in Brighton

Went for a lesson at Jamie Oliver's Recipease  restaurant in Brighton in Mexican Street Food. Not exactly master chef but the pressure was still on. Good day and well worth a try.

The food tasted really nice, but I cannot see Jamie wanting to employ me.

Pork Scratchings fuel TT Racer

Guy Martin a British motorbike racer and TV personality loves his tea and working on lorries but fuels himself on  Mr Porky pork scratchings. and why not? Perhaps this is the sort of diet we should check out. I mean to say if it can mean that you can put in a 130 mph lap round the Isle of Man TT circuit in the most dangerous race in the world what could we achieve?

Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the Midday Sun and Eat Fish and Chips

Yep this is what happens when we finally get some sun in England. Thank goodness no drink was available. Another thing the British like is Fish and Chips. They should be eaten out of newspaper at the seaside but are just as good on a Friday night in front of the TV
