"An Army marches on its stomach" a quote from Napoleon.
Well it seems that Churchill still liked to make time for a hearty meal whilst dealing with the stresses and strains of war followed perhaps by his trade mark cigar.
There is now a cookbook book out of his favourite meals. On sale at the Imperial War Museum
I would like to finish on a Hate Cuisine quote "Make a Sunday Roast not War"

Vietnamese Street Food
OK I wasn't cooking these dishes in a Vietnamese street or any street come to think of it but its well known I like street food and Vietnam so how about combining both.
Both these snacks brought back good memories of my trip to Vietnam. Vibrate, noisy, colourful, friendly country. Go and if you cannot try these dishes out.
Fish Patties and Prawn Cakes

A tedious and ineffectual person, esp a man; fool; ninny; ass; boob, turkey
I looked up Jerk in the dictionary and among the definitions I found this:
"A tedious and ineffectual person, esp a man; fool; ninny; ass; boob, turkey"
Now I get why people call me that. But you wouldn't describe this Jerk Chicken as being ineffectual and its definitely not a turkey. With scotch bonnet chillies in the mix its not tedious.
This was my first go at this dish. I offered a glass of wine to wash it down but the cry was for water. Hot but nice. I wasn't a Jerk for giving this meal a go.

Sawdust without spit
The The Lifeboat Pub in Margate is situated right in the middle of the old town.
What do you want from a Pub? We at Hate Cuisine enjoy a nice pint, good atmosphere and a locally made sausage in a roll. If that is what you want in a pub then try the Lifeboat.
In case you are worried there is no spit on the floor but plenty of sawdust.

Pop goes the Weasel
"Up and down the City Road. In and out the Eagle. Thats the way the money goes. Pop goes the weasel"
Don't mind if I do. Mine is a pint
